I am unaware of the meaning of cc. If it means "soft", it do not adapt to a man. But as a nickname it is lovely.

"April Cid" is a particular name differing from those usual names such as Tom and Jerry —— I know so many.

But my teacher john tell me "April" is a girl name also, and suggest me that "Sidney" is more fit for me.

Another thing to consider is that you don't necessarily need an English name. You could just have your foreign friends call you Chen.

By the way, I have a question for you and your readers.

I think I want to change the location of my blog. I like the typepad.com service, but sometimes it is inaccessible from China, and foreign sites are often only available for a fee in Chinese universities, so I'm considering switching blog services.

My question is, which service would you recommend? Here are the things that are important for me:

1) I'd like to have control over the layout of the blog. Direct access to the HTML would be preferable, but CSS access would be okay, too. At the very least, I'd like to be able to control the links on the sidebar.

2) I'd like to be able to view statistics of visitors to the blog. Preferable I would have access to a list of referrals.

3) It would be great if I could import my old entries from the typepad.com site. This would require that the service support importing MTExport files (Movable Type Export).

Any recommendations?

It is not easy to find a perfect solution for your problem. I have spent this whole morning on looking for a website eligible for you , but I have no clear idea. Definitely, it’s not convenient to hook up your blog through the network of university. Like most of your students , my girlfriend was disable to link your blog when being on line of campus.

In fact , the website providing the space to your blog has many advantages , such as multi-function, good style and fast speed of brows. As I known, MSN's personal space have this advantages also. but the deficiency is very obvious, as the evdence of visiting limited. In the domestic service, only the service of blogjava.net can provide the same function, but with the lack of statistics and just for special technology, not for other topic. Anther same kind of service is cnblogs.com , in which you can use CSS and change your frame, color and layout, but it fails to support the function of import. You can not import the data from your old blogs, but you can consider it.

I failed to find the website which base on the same program as typepad.com. So, I'll keep searching as possible as I can.

Thanks so much for your help. I'd like to use a large blogging service so I know it will be around for a while.

I've looked at bokee.com, and blogcn.com. Bokee seems quite good and stable, but it lacks importing and sidebar customization (as far as I can tell).

I do appreciate any help, but don't tire yourself out! :)
