Ganymede (英語發音"GAN
uh meed")為最大的
木星已知衛星，也是第七顆發現的木星衛星，在
伽利略發現的衛星中離木星第三近,在希臘神話中 Ganymede是一個特洛伊美人的男孩(一個美少男)，被宙斯帶去給眾神斟酒）。

目前3.4版本是Eclipse項目發布的10周年慶典版;至今Eclipse項目共有23個子項目。
此次發布的Ganymede 版本引入不少亮點，其中包括新的p2平臺(
provisioning platform),點擊查看p2的介紹、新增的
Equinox(OSGi實現)安全方面的特性、全新的
Ecore建模工具、支持SOA等。

Eclipse Ganymede is the annual release of Eclipse projects; this year including 23 projects.
