Never judge a book by its cover. 不要以貌取人。（不要以一本書的封面好壞來判斷書的好壞）
這是一句經(jīng)常可以看到的格言，而且也經(jīng)常被篡改成其他近似的說法，來表達(dá)一些特定的意思，Google一下，得到很多這樣的句子：
Never judge a day by its weather. (氣象服務(wù))
Never judge a man by his T-shirt. (服裝店)
Never judge a mobile phone by its cover. (手機(jī)門戶)
Never judge a woman by the size of her shoes. (賣鞋的)
Never judge an auction by its cover. (eBay / 還記不記得上次有人天價(jià)買掉XBOX 360...的照片?)
這個(gè)最有意思：
Never judge a book by its movie.
是啊，我們已經(jīng)看到很多由原著的書改編的電影，有多少真正忠于原著，甚至接近原著的高度呢？寥寥無幾。出現(xiàn)這樣的改編格言，也就相當(dāng)耐人尋味了。
