The solution is: in the pom.xml, instead of using
<parent>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-starter-parent</artifactId>
<version>1.3.0.BUILD-SNAPSHOT</version>
</parent>
Use a specific version:
<parent>
<groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>

<version>1.2.4.RELEASE</version>
</parent>
