But...actually there is nothing related to encoding/decoding, you can have a try to set your JVM default encoding to be iso8859-1 or something other than GB2312/GBK/ GB18030, probly you will get something like "XXX" with your code with your input message "寫入文件".

Good article, but many features described here have already been implented by Eclipse, and from Eclipse Europa, you can download the "Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers" version which has many J2EE packages already installed, so this will remove you from download additional packages.

First, it's really a hard job. Second, too many if/else, String.indexOf and String.subString make it hard to read, it would be good if you add enough unit test for it.

For our project what makes it failure is that there is no time for it to be refactored, markting belives that there is no need to do the refactor, no new feature but takes time. From the dev point, it's really a shit, any change in the source code may cause some defects that's really bad and which make it takes much more time and effort to drop the next build as time go.
We have technical challenges because we are software engineers;) technical is part of our lives and the challenge is all about technical no personal attacks.
